I have a friend who has heart failure from idiopathic cardiomyopathy. He is already on Coq10 & has recently undergone biventricular pacing.I checked on the net about the use of injectable Testosterone in heart failure but have'nt found details regarding dosage etc.If any of you have any information regarding this, please let me know.

Hello Dr. Shabnam. Testosterone do help in cardiomyopathy. It does not have much role in acute setting but improves the prognosis in long term. Kindly evaluate the liver profile , testosterone level (total and free), SHBG , Thyroid profile , DHEA , Cortisol , VIt B12 , Iron studies. Need to know the current cardiac status. Kindly feel free to call on my number 9987002515
